Tutoring

Students can make incredible learning gains through one-on-one targeted instruction. Rachel Rose will begin by assessing your child to get a full picture of his or her strengths and areas that need improvement. She will then design unique lessons that address those specific needs.

Tutoring sessions can be half an hour or one hour and take place once a week or more. Each session includes a complimentary 10 minute meeting to keep parents informed. Sessions take place at the Growth Points Ed office in Jeffersonville, VT. Each session is $60. Practice packets are available for students (and parents) to keep working throughout the week for an extra $15.

Contact Rachel at growthpointsed@gmail.com for more information.

What Parents Say

“My son was born with Auditory Processing Disorder and had trouble recognizing subtle differences between sounds within words. My son began seeing Rachel when he was seven, and she quickly pinpointed the sounds and letters he was having issues with. Every week, she had games, activities, and worksheets that held my son's focus, peaked his interest in learning, and helped with his problem areas. Rachel encouraged him to use his incredible imagination to write his own stories and read them aloud to our family. This was a huge accomplishment and stepping stone for my son's unique learning process. My son is now fourteen and reads on grade level. He loves to read and write and looks back fondly on his time with Rachel. As a parent of a child with a learning disability, I can't say enough about how positive of an experience we had with Rachel." -Jennifer Shatzman

“We brought Rachel on board to assist our high-schooler in navigating a difficult essay assignment. She provided a strong organizational framework to the process that made it manageable. I would call on Rachel again with full confidence in her sharp vision and ability to create order out of confusion.” -Teresa Bobel
